The hotel's reputation is as one of the world's greatest hotels, the mere fact that there are three members of staff per guest, gives some idea of the level of service offered by this property.

The rooms are medium in size and both the bedrooms and bathrooms are in exceptional condition. Each room has been decorated differently and all are both elegant and luxurious. Most enjoy fabulous views over Hyde Park and all are commendably quiet. The bathrooms are fitted with Italian marble, etched glass and chrome.

On the ground floor are three restaurants, the main one is formal and serves traditional English cuisine, while the hotel boasts a highly acclaimed cantonese restaurant and a grill room.

The hotel is a large traditional building with a very impressive white facade in superb condition.

The lobby is small but very elegant with a golden archway leading through into a spacious lounge area with a fabulous hand painted ceiling.
